Students and mentors came to the RCEL Mentorship Program Kick-Off on October 11 at Rice University to learn more about the program, and to meet each other face-to-face.

Amanda Prestia, RCEL Mentorship Staff Coordinator, welcomed the group, followed by a short introduction by the RCEL Mentorship Student Committee (Rachel Nguyen, senior, ECE; Eric Voigt, junior, MECH; and Steve Zhou, senior, ChBE), to explain the expectations of the program and the evening, as well as advice and suggestions for mentor/mentee pairs. The rest of the evening was left to conversation in mentor/mentee pairs and small groups.
