To celebrate the holidays and to procrastinate studying for finals just a bit, RCEL Student Leadership and the Rice Chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) co-sponsored a Holiday party for members, RCEL Certificate students and guests. Over 50 ASME and RCEL students braved the day’s rain to fill Duncan College classroom for sugar cookie decorating, a hot chocolate bar, and a gingerbridge design competition to see who could save Santa’s sleigh. The event was coordinated by the RCEL Student Engagement Committee – Patrick Garr, senior, ChBE; Anna Cowan, junior, CAAM; and Kaelan Cuozzo, junior, CS.
