ENGI 615: Leadership Coaching for Engineers
Leadership coaching is an emerging field of professional development that focuses on how leaders enhance another person’s ability to achieve their objectives. In this course, students will learn how to lead others in their own professional development through the use of the skills and practices of professional coaching. This course will emphasize experiential learning and some of its graduates will be selected to become coaches to Rice engineering undergraduates.
Class meets on Mondays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Germaine Porche at germaine.porche@rice.edu.
"Leadership coaching is the critical skillset I never knew I needed. This class changed my life by allowing me to better understand myself and how I could better connect with others, both as a leader and a coach.” - Emily Keiser Evans, Bioengineering PhD candidate
"...Coaching not only teaches you to help others more effectively, it also... transforms the way you look at every social interaction. I'm not exagerating when I say that this class rounded up all the non-technical knowledge I need to hit the ground running as a professional engineer." - Ricardo Paulin ‘15, MECH Professional Masters Student
