Are you ready to build skills to lead the future of engineering and technology?
Rice ELITE Tech Camp is the premier pre-college engineering summer program for high school students, with a unique focus on preparing young people to be tomorrow’s leaders in technology and engineering. Created and managed by engineering faculty from the Rice University School of Engineering and the Rice Center for Engineering Leadership (RCEL), the Rice ELITE Camp is a one-of-a-kind summer experience for high school students.
About Rice ELITE Tech Camps

Rice ELITE Tech Camps focus on a vigorous technology track, supplemented by college readiness and engineering leadership preparation components. Students will participate in intensive science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning activities, while learning to apply the engineering design process to solve real world problems. One-week sessions include hands-on curriculum allowing Rice ELITE Tech students to employ technical, scientific, and/or analytical concepts.
- College-level engineering concepts tailored to high school students.
Hands-on curriculum in advanced engineering and technology concepts in the context of learning how engineers solve problems. Topics offered include machine learning, AI, internet of things, data science, 3D printing, deep learning, data analytics and more. - Practice real-world application of skills
Employ technical, scientific, and/or analytical concepts to address real-world issues. Receive instruction, then break into small groups to complete exercises and challenges to develop deeper understanding. - Prepare to be future tech leaders
Learn engineering leadership while applying the engineering design process. Develop leadership, project management, and communication skills to stand out from your peers. - College readiness and learning about engineering as a major
Learn from engineering professors, researchers, professionals, and students about the different engineering fields.
